You may be wondering who is this person behind everything. Well hello! My name is Vanessa Nicole and I am the creator/CEO of Life of Velvet. I have dedicated the last 5 years of my life exploring and creating different spaces for BLACK womxn and wanted to create this space for all of my creative endeavors and to provide an opportunity to connect with and heal other womxn.

Growing up some of my fondest memories were spent with my mother creating different projects, studying the metaphysical/esoteric, and exploring the overall ability of the mind. I come from a long line of healers and intuitive women who have been caring for and conquering this world and it is my purpose and goal to do the same.

It has been in my adulthood that I am finding my own forms of creation, expression, magik, and healing that best align with me. I truly feel it is my purpose to embrace a path that is based on spiritual connection, alignment, and ease while encouraging and creating space for others, especially other Black Womxn, to embrace their most inner self/expression. What I call living in flow. 

There is so much resistance we face in our world and it can sometimes feel like an uphill battle. Yet like a stream, despite the resistance which may come our way, we have the ability to be fluid and flow in the direction we are meant to go. 

Over these 5 years, I have become certified in mind, body, and spirit wellness including all levels of Meditation, Mindfulness, Stress Management, and Energy Healing to facilitate deep, intentional, intuitively guided products and services. Life of Velvet is more than intentional handmade products. LOV is a community, way of life, and portal to promote deep transformation and healing.
